Personal History: Siobahn was born to Mehra Chereshei and Uhroh'a Vilthi. She has a sister that is 3 years her elder by the name of Aoife. Mehra and Uhroh'a struggled with having more children, one heartbreak after another forcing them to eventually quit trying. The Cheresheis lived with three other families as they grew up. While they were originally from the Shroud, as most Miqo'te were, they were part of a small group of Keepers of the Moon that grew fed up with the tiring ways of the Gridanians and left to move into Dravania. It was a huge change and move, but they found the challenge of the new hunting grounds was a good change and they grew to thrive. Other than moving to Dravania they had a traditional childhood: offer worship to Menphina, hunt, craft. Once people started to stay in Idyllshire they opened trade and did even better.

As Siobahn grew older she had heard rumors of a giant Au Ra that was known for being impossibly fast, incredibly strong, and - most importantly - impossible to hit. He became known as the god of war and became quite renown for his talents. While Siobahn liked her life and her family, she couldn't help but feel an itch to learn from this man and do something a little bit more with her life. She had heard rumor that he would be heading back home to Othard in the coming days, so around the events of SB she started to gather herself up to travel to Othard to try to track down this stranger and demand training from him. She wasn't sure how to convince him and some part of her was scared, but she's very much a leap first, ask questions later kind of person.

She made it to Othard about the time that Aragibal and Athala managed to buy their home in Shirogane. It took her a few more months to find where Aragibal had settled down and where he was, but eventually Aragibal had a scrappy 17 year old Miqo'te knocking on his door. Boy, he was big. He towered over her. At almost 8' tall her head barely made it to his solar plexus, and he was just build of muscle. Did you know pretty much all auri men also have the worst case of resting bitch face to exist? She didn't. She was too scared to even speak until he broke out into a smile and his face grew so easy going that she started to suspect he might not be mean, and even then it wasn't until two tiny miqo'te kittens (Keepers like herself!?) peeked out from behind his legs that she knew that she was going to be okay. She meekly asked if he would train her and - surprisingly - he agreed without any friction. She admitted she had spent all of her gil and couldn't pay him for training her (which he waived off) but she did offer to babysit his kids and teach them about Keeper traditions, if that would be okay (of course!).

Aragibal set her up with an apartment in Shirogane (she's worked hard to pay him back and maintain her own rent, much to his protests) and she's otherwise trained with him and become part of the family. She's a fast learner and picked up on being a monk incredibly fast and has grown quite a bit since being with them.

(tl;dr Spent the rest of sb and the beginning of shb with them. She trained, babysat, did odd jobs around Shirogane for money and whatnot. Aragibal's been teaching her how to cook and whatnot. Just kinda day to day fluffy stuff.)

Personality: Cherry is a teenager first and foremost. She's an emotional hormonal mess who flips through emotions faster than someone flips through stop motion animation. While she generally keeps an upbeat and happy attitude, it does not take much to make her mad or to make her sad. Most of these are quite superficial and resolve rather quickly - it's easier to be happy and bubbly than anything else, but - as a warning - she does get frustrated quite easily.

She is rather sure of herself and can be pretty strong willed, especially in a situation where something seems unfair. She has a lot of confidence in herself and her abilities as a monk and a fighter and she seems to be very well aware of who she is and what she believes in. She stands beside these things with her entire being and doesn’t falter. She can be a little difficult because of this, but she is willing to listen if someone has a good reason as to why she may be wrong. One of her big things she lives by is that life should be lived to be enjoyed.

Because of how confident she is and how sure of herself she is, she is quite independent. She doesn't particularly enjoy being treated like a child and she acts a bit like that newly turned 18 year old that definitely knows what's up and how to adult. (Pro tip: she doesn't. She doesn't even actually feed herself. She just eats candy. A balanced diet is for chumps.) She does have quite a bit of street smarts, however, and is quite adept at navigating the world of Eorzea unsupervised.

On the flip side, however, she never went to school and isn't exactly book smart. Her reading and writing is pretty limited to letters and even then her ability is rather basic. She's not illiterate but she is certainly toeing that line. While she is confident in herself in almost every way, this is the way she is not: book smarts. She can be quite insecure when it comes to book intelligence because it's something that she'd never really had interest in. She doesn't do well when sitting in a room of people who talk above her level because she gets frustrated when she can't follow a conversation, and it ultimately results in her being sad because she feels (actually, she's quite sure that she is) quite stupid. Like any teenager, she has a tendency to minimize her successes and hyperbolize her failures.

When it comes to training she has a very strong sense of discipline and restraint - it is probably the only place that people will witness this without having to take a very strong tone with her. She has a deep understanding that the things she enjoys doing can be very dangerous and can cause people to get hurt and she doesn't fool around with it, nor does she really tolerate people who do fool around. Weapons aren't toys, and messing about with aether and the qi gates isn't smart. She very much believes in training safety and in learning how to do things correctly. Someone should not take shortcuts for fast results. She works very hard to learn things she is taught so that she can ensure that she is good at what she does and she will spend hours drilling herself on technique. While I would like to say she is a hard worker, her focus only extends to the things she strictly enjoys, which happens to be her training. Training and her work with weapons is one of the few places she also thinks before diving into something as well, as she recognizes she can't be impulsive with these things.

While she tends to get along with people, she doesn't have much of a filter in speaking. If you do something and she thinks it's stupid, she will likely tell you unless like... You're standing over someone's corpse and it's very very very clearly not the time. She doesn't tend to sugar coat things unless you're a very close friend of hers, and her communication can end up being a bit clumsy. She is very what you see is what you get and very genuine and she doesn't really believe in obfuscating her thoughts for the sake of others. She would rather be called out for being shitty than tolerated to continue, and she applies that to others. She tries not to be mean about it, but it can come off rather rude at times because she doesn't really think about what to say before she opens her mouth.

Some quick off the hip characterizations that don't really deserve full paragraphs: because she mostly eats sugar she is generally very hyper and has trouble sitting still and being quiet (she can do one of those things at a time, so pick one), she's clumsy, she often bites off more than she can chew, she's thoughtful about people (getting them their favorite food if they're sad, noticing birthdays, etc), she's a pretty open book, she likes fruit/meat/candy/nuts but not so much veggies, she loves children and kinda mothers them if they let her, she doesn't have many filters, she asked a man who is very big and scary looking to just kinda train her like the kid's got balls.

CRAU developments: She had really positive CR with Willow before leaving and I very much want her to keep that so she's a little more grounded when she comes onto the train. The thread with Grimmjow where she and he almost fight also is probably my favorite thread I've ever written and I just super wanna keep that.
